Bishop David Kiir Biography

Bishop David Kiir Mayath Agok was born in 1973 in Panrieng.  Married to Late Mama Mary Angeth Ayong and they are blessed with three sons and three daughters.
Bishop David was consecrated on Sunday 30th November 2014, at All Saints Cathedral –Juba as the Suffragan Bishop in the Episcopal Diocese of Malakal based in Panrieng Area Diocese. Later on PANRIENG was upgraded to be a full diocese on March 11th 2017 and he became the first diocesan Bishop of the Episcopal Diocese of Panrieng. Bishop David was enthroned on 27th January, 2019 as the first Bishop to be enthroned in that part of the land.  He served in Renk Diocese from 2001 – 2005 where he was made deacon in 2001 and priested on March 24th 2002. Bishop David went to St. Paul’s University in Kenya – Limuru for his Bachelor Degree in Theology (Bachelor of Divinity / BD) and graduated in 2015. He is also a graduate of Bishop Gwynne College with Diploma in theology in 2000 - Juba. He is currently pursuing Master of Arts in theological Studies at Uganda Christian University (UCU). Bishop David went to St. Augustine Secondary School - Khartoum in 1995 -1998, Comboni Bhari Intermediate School in 1991- 1994 and Star Primary School Omdurman in 1987 – 1991.
