About The Episcopal Diocese of Panrieng

The Episcopal Diocese of Panrieng exists to witness the gospel of salvation to everyone within the diocese and beyond by maintaining the Christian faith in a holistic service (Acts 1:8)
Jesus said: All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:18-20).
St. Paul also says:
“There is one body and one Spirit – just as you were called to one hope when you were called. One Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all, and through all and in all” (Ephesians: 4:4-6).

The Church has a responsibility to develop the society spiritually ( this is in terms of opening many preaching centers and construct concrete  Churches and  well built infrastructures). The Church has a responsibility of sending many young people to theological trainings for the better future of God’s Church in our land. The Church also has a role to provide an education with Christian values (opening of schools both primary and secondary levels). Peace building in the area is one of the most important programs of our diocese, for without peace there is no development. Women empowerment program in the Church is also on the top of our priorities. Health service is part of the crucial service the Church should render (opening of clinic). Food security must be granted by boasting agriculture and this can be achieved if we got fund to purchase tractor for the best modern cultivation. When the issue of food is solved even the pastors can have no problem in leaving their children and work for the Lord.  And in the process we will be planting trees as part of taking care of our environment.  Youth and Sunday School Ministry is vital in the Church because the Church of tomorrow begins today. What we do today determines the future and this is the Church we want to have in Ruweng Land. As part of the developmental programs we seek also for funds as many children are orphans due to many wars in the Country. These orphan children are really abandoned and some of them could not afford to get food or to go to school.
In the Land of Ruweng there is a lot to be done in the field of spreading the gospel and the developmental program (many people are not reached by the gospel and therefore, the Church has a lot to do.  There is much to be done because they have to be reached with the word of God). This means that Ruweng land is an evangelistic area (this is the reason we call for the Support). The answer to this call is for us to give some spiritual, material, and moral supports to the people of the diocese.
Panrieng is in the border between South Sudan and Sudan, a Country known very well of its extreme Islamic Front. And our area is one of the routes targeted for Islam to enter South Sudan. Therefore for the Church to resist this extreme Islamic project it must be a well equipped Church that has got a strong support. Our Country is weak now in terms of poverty due to the war that has caused a lot of psychological sicknesses. Therefore, our people are vulnerable and subject to be diverted easily to other religion which is using means of material provision. We, all Christians have that obligation to preach the gospel of salvation to all people of every race despite their cultural, social, political, economic or geographical backgrounds. We are all obliged because this is a biblical Call and Command by our Lord Jesus Christ and everybody who believes in Christ must begin showing their commitments through the actions. On this Great Commission there is neither permission nor any excuse for those who are called. Therefore, we are pressing on enduring the sufferings in the ministry hoping that one day one time God will answer our prayers.
We believe change will come and we shall be in better condition as we seek means of development through hard work by the grace of God.
